But if we shall say, From men; we fear the multitude; for all hold John as a prophet.

But what do you think? A man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work today in the vineyard.

And he answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented himself, and went.

For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you didn't believe him; but the publicans and the prostitutes believed him: and you, when you saw it, did not even repent yourselves afterward, that you might believe him.

But afterward he sent to them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.

But the husbandmen, when they saw the son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and take his inheritance.

And he that falls on this stone shall be broken to pieces: but on whoever it shall fall, it will scatter him as dust.

But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise;

But the king was angry; and he sent his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.

Then he says to his slaves, The wedding is ready, but those that were bidden were not worthy.

But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who did not have on a wedding-garment:

For many are called, but few chosen.

But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why do you make trial of me, you hypocrites?

But Jesus answered and said to them, You err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as angels in heaven.

But as concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,

I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not [the God] of the dead, but of the living.

But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, gathered themselves together.

all things therefore whatever they bid you, [these] do and observe: but do not do after their works; for they say, and do not do.

Yes, they bind loads that are heavy and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with their finger.
