But he that hears [my words], and does not [do them], is like a man that built a house on the earth without a foundation; against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell in; and the ruin of that house was great.

therefore neither did I think myself worthy to come to you: but say the word, and let my [young] slave be healed.

But what did you go out to see? a man clothed in soft raiment? Look, those that are gorgeously appareled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.

But what did you go out to see? a prophet? Yes, I say to you, and much more than a prophet.

I say to you, Among those that are born of women there is none greater than John: yet he that is but little in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected for themselves the counsel of God, not being baptized of him.

And turning to the woman, he said to Simon, Do you see this woman? I entered into your house, you gave me no water for my feet: but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with her hair.

You gave me no kiss: but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet.

You did not anoint my head with oil: but she has anointed my feet with ointment.

Therefore I say to you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, [the same] loves little.

And he said, To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to the rest in parables; that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.

And no man, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those that enter in may see the light.

But he answered and said to them, My mother and my brothers are these that hear the word of God, and do it.

But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filling [with water], and were in jeopardy.

And when he came forth on the land, there met him a certain man out of the city, who had demons; and for a long time he had worn no clothes, and did not abide in [any] house, but in the tombs.

But the man from whom the demons had gone out prayed him that he might be with him: but he sent him away, saying,

for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went the multitudes thronged him.

But Jesus said, Some one did touch me; for I perceived that power had gone forth from me.

But Jesus hearing it, answered him, Don't be afraid: only believe, and she shall be made whole.

And all were weeping, and bewailing her: but he said, Do not weep; for she is not dead, but sleeps.
