Such is he who lays up treasures for himself, and is not rich in the things in God.

Observe the ravens; for they do not sow nor reap, and they have no storerooms and barns; and yet God feeds them; how much more important are you than the fowls?

And if God clothes in such fashion the grass of the field, which today is and tomorrow falls into the fireplace; how much more is he to you, O you of little faith?

Neither will they say, Behold, it is here! or, behold, it is there! for behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

There was a judge in a city, who did not fear God, and had no regard for men.

And he would not for a long time; but afterwards he said within himself, Though I am not afraid of God, and have no regard for men;
