I will not reprove you for your sacrifices; And your burnt-offerings are continually before me.

For every beast of the forest is mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.

If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is mine, and the fullness thereof.

For I know my transgressions; And my sin is ever before me.

For you do not delight in sacrifice; or else would I give it: You have no pleasure in burnt-offering.

For the Chief Musician. Maschil of David; when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said to him, David has come to the house of Ahimelech. Why do you boast yourself in mischief, O mighty man? The loving-kindness of God [endures] continually.

But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I trust in the loving-kindness of God forever and ever.

I will give you thanks forever, because you have done it; and proclaim your name, for it is good, in the presence of your saints.

There they were in great fear, where no fear was; For God has scattered the bones of him that encamps against you: You have put [them] to shame, because God has rejected them.

For strangers have risen up against me, And violent men have sought after my soul: They have not set God before them. Selah.

With a freewill-offering I will sacrifice to you: I will give thanks to your name, O Yahweh, for it is good.

For he has delivered me out of all trouble; And my eye has seen [my desire] on my enemies.

For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. Maschil of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; And don't hide yourself from my supplication.

Because of the voice of the enemy, Because of the oppression of the wicked; For they cast iniquity on me, And in anger they persecute me.

Destroy, O Lord, [and] divide their tongue; For I have seen violence and strife in the city.

For it is not an enemy that reproached me; or I could have borne it: It is not one who hated me that magnified himself against me; or I would have hid myself from him:
