Finally then, brothers, we urge and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as you received of us how you ought to walk and to please God, even as you do walk, -that you abound more and more.

For this is the will of God, [even] your sanctification, that you abstain from fornication;

not by immoral sexual passion, even as the Gentiles who don't know God;

For God called us not for impurity, but in sanctification.

Therefore he that rejects, rejects not man, but God, who also gives his Holy Spirit to you.

But concerning love of the brothers you have no need that one write to you: for you yourselves are taught of God to love one another;

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so those also that have fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first;

For God did not appoint us into wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.

And may the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ;

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brothers, even as it is meet, for that your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all toward one another abounds;

so that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure;

[which is] a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God; to the end that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer:

since it is a righteous thing with God to recompense affliction to those that afflict you,

rendering vengeance to those that do not know God, and to those that do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus:

To which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and [every] work of faith, with power;

that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
