Therefore I saw that there is nothing better, than that man should rejoice in his works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him [back] to see what shall be after him?

If you see the oppression of the poor, and the violent taking away of justice and righteousness in a province, don't marvel at the matter: for one higher than the high regards; and there are higher than those.

Wisdom is as good as an inheritance; yes, more excellent is it for those that see the sun.

When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on the earth (for there is also one that neither day nor night sees sleep with his eyes),

When you come to see my face, who has required this at your hand, to trample my courts?

that say, Let him make speed, let him hurry his work, that we may see it; and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, that we may know it!

And he said, Go, and tell this people, You indeed hear, but don't understand; and you indeed see, but don't perceive.

Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; or else they will see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn again, and be healed.

and they shall look to the earth, and see distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and into thick darkness [they shall be] driven away.

Those that see you shall gaze at you, they shall consider you, [saying], Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that shook kingdoms;

All you inhabitants of the world, and you dwellers on the earth, when an ensign is lifted up on the mountains, see; and when the trumpet is blown, hear.

Therefore my loins are filled with anguish; pangs have taken hold on me, as the pangs of a woman in travail: I am pained so that I can't hear; I am dismayed so that I can't see.

Let favor be shown to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness he will deal wrongfully, and will not see the majesty of Yahweh.

Yahweh, your hand is lifted up, yet they don't see: but they shall see [your] zeal for the people, and be put to shame; yes, fire shall devour your adversaries.

And in that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

that say to the seers, Don't see; and to the prophets, Don't prophesy to us right things, speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits,
