God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth."

Just then, His disciples returned and were astonished that He was speaking with a woman. But no one asked Him, "What do You want from her?" or, "Why are You talking with her?"

Jesus explained, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.

Already the reaper draws his wages and gathers a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may rejoice together.

And many more believed because of His message.

Now He Himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.

When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged Him to come down and heal his son, who was about to die.

"Go," said Jesus. "Your son will live." The man took Jesus at His word and departed.

And while he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was alive.

So he inquired as to the hour when his son had recovered, and they told him, "The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour."

Then the father realized that this was the very hour in which Jesus had told him, "Your son will live." And he and all his household believed.

Immediately the man was made well, and he picked up his mat and began to walk. Now this happened on the Sabbath day,

But Jesus answered them, "To this very day My Father is at His work, and I too am working."

Because of this, the Jews tried all the harder to kill Him. Not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He was even calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.

Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming when all who are in their graves will hear His voice

There is another who testifies about Me, and I know that His testimony about Me is valid.

John was a lamp that burned and gave light, and you were willing for a season to bask in his light.

And the Father who sent Me has Himself testified about Me. You have never heard His voice nor seen His form,

nor does His word abide in you, because you do not believe the One He sent.

I have come in My Father's name, and you have not received Me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will receive him.
