And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments among them, casting lots;

And they set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

And Jesus cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit.

and coming forth out of the tombs after his resurrection they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.

and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb, and departed.

Command therefore that the tomb be made sure until the third day, lest perhaps his disciples come and steal him away, and say to the people, He is risen from the dead: and the last error will be worse than the first.

His appearance was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

And go quickly, and tell his disciples, He is risen from the dead; and look, he goes before you into Galilee; there you shall see him: look, I have told you.

And they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word.

And look, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.

saying, Say, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ready the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight;

And John was clothed with camel's hair, and [had] a leather girdle about his loins, and ate locusts and wild honey.

And going on a little further, he saw James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending the nets.

And they were astonished at his teaching: For he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.

And being moved with compassion, he stretched forth his hand, and touched him, and says to him, I will; be made clean.

And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned to themselves, says to them, Why do you reason these things in your hearts?

And it comes to pass, that he was sitting at meat in his house, and many publicans and sinners sat down with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.

And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with the sinners and publicans, said to his disciples, [How is it] that he eats with publicans and sinners?

And it came to pass, that he was going on the Sabbath day through the grainfields; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears.
