He said to them, I have already told you, and you did not listen; why do you want to hear it again? why, do you also want to become his disciples?

Then they cursed him, and said to him, You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.

We know that God does not hear the voice of sinners; but he hears the one who fears him and does his will.

His disciples said to him, Our Lord, if he is sleeping, he will get well.

But Jesus spoke of his death; and they thought that what he said was sleeping in bed.

Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, Let us also go, and die with him.

When Mary came where Jesus was, and saw him, she threw herself at his feet, and said to him, My Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews weeping, who had come with her, he was moved in his spirit, and was greatly disturbed.

So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted his eyes upwards, and said, O Father, I thank you for you have heard me,

And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound with burial clothes; and his face bound with a burial napkin. Jesus said to them, Loose him and let him go.

Jesus therefore did not walk openly among the Jews, but went away thence to a place which is close to the wilderness, in the province of Ephraim; and he remained there with his disciples.

Then Mary took a cruse containing pure and expensive nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

And Judas of Iscariot, one of his disciples, who was about to betray him, said,
