But they soon forgot God; they trusted not in his counsel,

But craved exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.

They forgot God their Saviour, who had done great things in Egypt,

Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and be glorified in thine inheritance.

Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting; and let all the people say, Amen and Amen. Praise the LORD.

Because they murmured against the words of God, and scorned the counsel of the most High;

O GOD, my heart is ready, my heart is ready; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens, and thy glory above all the earth,

God has spoken in his holiness: I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem and mete out the valley of Succoth.

Wilt not thou, O God, who cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?

Through God we shall do valiantly; for he it is who shall tread down our enemies.

HOLD not thy peace, O God of my praise;

Help me, O LORD my God; O save me according to thy mercy,

Who is like to the LORD our God, who dwells on high,

Tremble, earth, at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

Wherefore the Gentiles have no cause to say, Where is now their God?

But our God is in the heavens; he has done whatever he pleased.

Thou art merciful, O LORD, and righteous; O God, thou art merciful.

O LORD, our God, enlighten us; bind our festival processions as an unbroken chain, even to the horns of the altar.

Thou art my God, and I will give thanks to thee; thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
