and occupying themselves with myths and endless genealogies. These things promote controversies rather than God's ongoing purpose, which involves faith.1 Timothy 4:7; 2 Timothy 2:14,16, 23; Titus 1:14; 3:9;">[xr]

and the grace of our Lord overflowed toward me,toward me">[fn] along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.Luke 7:47; Romans 5:20; 1 Corinthians 15:10; 2 Timothy 1:13;">[xr]

with faith and a good conscience. By ignoring their consciences,By ignoring it">[fn] some people have destroyed their faith like a wrecked ship.1 Timothy 3:9; 6:9;">[xr]

For this reason I was appointed to be a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. (I am telling you the truth.the truth in Christ">[fn] I am not lying.)Romans 9:1; 11:13; 15:16; Galatians 1:16; Ephesians 3:7-8; 2 Timothy 1:11;">[xr]

However, womenshe">[fn] will be saved by having children,saved through the birth of the Child">[fn] if they continue to have faith, love, and holiness, along with good judgment.modesty">[fn]

They must hold firmly to the secret of the faith with clear consciences.1 Timothy 1:19;">[xr]

Those deacons who serve well gain an excellent reputation for themselves and will have great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.Matthew 25:21;">[xr]

Now the Spirit says clearly that in the last times some people will abandon the faith by following deceitful spirits, the teachings of demons,Daniel 11:35,37-38; John 16:13; 2 Thessalonians 2:3; Daniel 11:35,37-38,2 Timothy 3:1,13; 1 Peter 1:20; 2 Peter 2:1; 3:3; 1 John 2:18; Jude 1:4,18, 37-38,2 Timothy 3:1,13; Revelation 9:20; 16:14;">[xr]

If you continue to point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished by the words of the faith and the healthy teaching that you have followed closely.2 Timothy 3:14-15;">[xr]

Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for other believers in your speech, behavior, love, faithfulness,faith">[fn] and purity.1 Corinthians 16:11; Titus 2:7,15; 1 Peter 5:3;">[xr]

If anyone does not take care of his own relatives, especially his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.Isaiah 58:7; Matthew 18:17; Galatians 6:10; 2 Timothy 3:5; Titus 1:16;">[xr]

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, in their eagerness to get rich, have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with much pain.Exodus 23:8; Deuteronomy 16:19;">[xr]

But you, man of God, must flee from all these things. Instead, you must pursue righteousness, godliness, faithfulness,faith">[fn] love, endurance, and gentleness.Deuteronomy 33:1; 2 Timothy 2:22; 3:17;">[xr]

Fight the good fight for the faith. Keep your hold on eternal life, to which you were called and about which you gave a good testimony in front of many witnesses.1 Corinthians 9:25-26; Philippians 3:12,14; 1 Timothy 1:18; 6:19; 2 Timothy 4:7; Hebrews 13:23;">[xr]
