Admah
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
or (Heb. Admah", אִדְמָה, properly earth; Sept. Ἀδαμά, but Ἀδάμα in Hosea), one of the five cities in the vale of Siddim (Genesis 10:19), which had a king of its own (Genesis 14:2; Genesis 14:8). It was destroyed along with Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19:24; Deuteronomy 29:23; Hosea 11:8). Near the south-west end of the Dead Sea, M. De Saulcy passed through a place marked with the effects of volcanic agency, called et Thoemah, where his guides assured him were ruins of a city anciently overthrown by the Almighty (Narrative, 1, 420); but its identification with Admah needs corroboration. Reland (Paloest. p. 545) is inclined to infer, from the constant order of the names, that it was situated between Gomorrah and Zeboim; but even these sites are so uncertain that we can only conjecture the locality of Admah somewhere near the middle of the southern end of the Dead Sea.
