(Heb. id. אִרְדְּ, prob. for אֶרֶד, i.q. יֶרֶד, descent; Sept. Ἀράδ v. r.
Ἀδάρ ), a grandson of Benjamin through Bela (Numbers 26:40). B.C. 1856. In Genesis 46:21, he appears as a son of Benjamin, where, however, the Sept. makes him a great-grandson through Gera as a son of Bela. In 1 Chronicles 8:3, he is called ADDAR. His descendants were called Ardites, Heb. Ardi'. אִרְדִּי, Sept. Ἀραδί (Numbers 26:40). (See BENJAMIN). He is possibly the same with EZBON (See EZBON) (1 Chronicles 7:7).
