(Heb. Arod', אֲרוֹד , perhaps affliction, otherwise a wild ass, Sept. Ἀροαδί ), the sixth son (or branch of the family) of Gad (Numbers 26:17). B.C. 1856. His descendants (Heb. Arodi', אֲרוֹדִי ) are called Arodi (Genesis 46:16, Sept. Ἀροηδείς ) or Arodites (Numbers 26:17; Sept. Ἀροαδί ).
