(Ἀρόμ , prob. interpolated), the name of a man whose descendants (or of a place whose inhabitants), to the number of thirty-two, are said to have returned from the Babylonian captivity (1 Esdras 5:16); but the genuine text (Ezra 2:17-18) has no corresponding name, unless it be a mistake for Asons, and represents the HASHUM of Ezra 11:19.
