(Ἀσσαλιμώθ v. r. Σαλιμώθ ), son of Josaphias of the " sons" of Bania, who returned with 160 retainers from their exile (1 Esdras 8:36); evidently the SHELOMITH (See SHELOMITH) (q.v.) of the genuine text (Ezra 8:10).
