an English Wesleyan minister, was born at Owlet Hill, near, Colne, Lancashire, in 1756. He was converted at the age of seventeen, and was called into the ministry by Wesley in 1786. He travelled eighteen circuits; became a supernumerary in 1817, and died March 8. 1841. He was a good man and a usefil laborer. See Minutes of the British Conference, 1841, p. 156; Wesleyan Meth.
