Clephane, Thomas (1),
a Scotch clergyman, brother of the minister who was persecuted at Newtyle, took his degree at the University of St. Andrews in 1693; was licensed to preach in 1702; appointed minister at Kingoldrum in 1704, and ordained; and died in April, 1712, aged about thirty-nine years.
