a Presbyterian minister, was an Irishman by birth, and came to America in early manhood. It is believed that he obtained most of his education in this country. He was licensed by the Hanover Presbytery, April 18, 1767, as preacher at North Mountain, Virginia, where he remained for five years. le died March, 1812. See Sprague, Annals of the Amer.
