a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born in 1558. In 1586 he was rector at Grimma, and accepted a call in 1594 to Bautzen, where he died, in 1623, leaving, Decalogus: or thirty-eight sermons on the decalogue (Bautzen, 1608): — Oratio Dominica, or fifteen sermons on the Lord's Prayer (ibid. 1611): — Misteriodidascalia, or twenty-two sermons on baptism and the Lord's supper (Wittenberg, eod.): — Paedagogia Christiana,a or twenty sermons on the catechism (ibid. 1613).
