a Congregational minister, was born in New Hampshire in 1795; graduated from Dartmouth College in 1818, and from Andover Theological Seminary in 1825; was ordained June 28, 1826, pastor of South Church, Ipswich, Massachusetts, and died there, September 2, 1869.
