(Heb. Chasupha', חֲשׂוּפָא , uncovered; ‘ Sept. Ἀσουφά, Ἀσειφά; Vulg. Harupha), one of the Nethinim whose descendants returned from Babylon with Zerubbabel (Ezra 2:43; Nehemiah 7:46, in which latter passage the name is less correctly Anglicized "Hashpha"). B.C. ante 536.
