a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born August 15, 1548, at Eberlingen, in Wirtemberg. He studied at different universities, was in 1575 court-preacher at Zweibrucken, in 1577 doctor of theology, in 1581 general superintendent at Amberg, in 1588 court-preacher at Neuburg, Bavaria, in 1615 general superintendent at Bebenhausen, Wurtemberg, and died November 6, 1619, leaving, Schwenckfeldio-Calvinismus: — Synopsis Doctrines Calvinianae Refutata: — Flagellatio Jesuitica oder Jesuitische Lehre vomfreiwilligen Creutz der Geisfelung.
