son of the preceding, and noted as a most enthusiastic Calvinist, was born in 1600 at Paris, and graduated at Leyden; but going afterwards to England, obtained, like his father, a prebend at Canterbury, and was one of the chaplains to king Charles II. He died in 1683. He was the author of The Peace of the Soul: Clamor Regii Sanguinis, which, being anonymous, was attributed by Milton to Alexander More: and A Defence of the Protestant Church.
