Niles, Samuel (2),
a Congregational minister, son of the preceding, was born Dec. 14, 1743, at Braintree, Mass., where his father was then pastor. Niles, Jun., graduated at the College of New Jersey in 1769; studied under Dr. Bellamy; entered the ministry Nov. 7, 1770, and was ordained, Sept. 25, 1771, pastor in Abington, Mass., where he remained until his death, Jan. 16,1814.
