(Heb. Shobab', שׁוֹבָב , rebellious, as in Jeremiah 3:14; Jeremiah 3:21; Isaiah 57:17; Sept. Σωβάβ v.r. Σουβάβ, etc.), the name of two Hebrews.
1. Apparently the second named of the three sons of Caleb the son of Hezron by his first wife Azubah (1 Chronicles 2:18). B.C. post 1874.
2. Second named of the sons of David born in Jerusalem (2 Samuel 5:14; 2 Chronicles 3:5; 2 Chronicles 14:4). B.C. post: 044.
