a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church, was born on Kent Island, Queen Anne Co., Md., April 26, 1838. He was educated at Baltimore (where he was converted in his sixteenth year) at Dickinson College, and graduated as Doctor of Medicine at the Maryland University of Baltimore. In 1859 he abandoned the profession of medicine, and entered the Philadelphia Conference. Consumption soon began to prey upon him, and he died June 14, 1862.
