a Roman Catholic theologian of Germany, was born October 26, 1798, at Lienz, in the Tyrol. In 1824 he received holy orders, and in 1825 was called as professor to Meran. In 1849 he accepted a call to the pastorate in Frankfort, where he died, February 28, 1858. He wrote, Tirnol und die Reformation (Innsbruck, 1841): Giovanna Maria della Croce und ihre Zeit (Ratisbon, 1846): Predigten an das Tiroler Volk (Frankfort, 1851): he also translated six books of Chrysostom on the priesthood (Innsbruck, 1833).
