an English prelate of the 11th century, became archbishop of York in 1003, holding along with that dignity the bishopric of Worcester, and died in 1023. He is supposed to be the author of the Anglo-Saxon Homilies, to which is affixed the name of Lupus Episcopos. One of these may be found in Hickes, Thesautrus, 3, 99-106. See Wright, Biog. Brit. Lit.
