Vedius, or Vejovis
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
in Roman mythology, was an adopted god of the Tuscans, of dangerous activity. His frightful thunderbolts were preceded by deafness to those whom they would strike. His temple was at Rome, between the Capitolium and the Tarpeian castle. His statue represented a youthful god armed with arrows. His festival was celebrated before March 7. Goats were sacrificed to him.
