will you judge

הֲתִשְׁפֹּ֥ט

will you judge

הֲתִשְׁפֹּ֖ט

you shall show

wə·hō·w·ḏa‘·tāh,

וְה֣וֹדַעְתָּ֔הּ

abominations

tō·w·‘ă·ḇō·w·ṯe·hā.

תּוֹעֲבוֹתֶֽיהָ׃

Then say you

wə·’ā·mar·tā,

וְאָמַרְתָּ֗

in her midst

that her time

wə·‘ā·śə·ṯāh

for defilement

lə·ṭā·mə·’āh.

by the blood

you have shed

you are become guilty

and yourself in your idols

ū·ḇə·ḡil·lū·la·yiḵ

וּבְגִלּוּלַ֤יִךְ

you have made

have defiled

and to draw near

wat·taq·rî·ḇî

וַתַּקְרִ֣יבִי

you have caused your days

and have come

[even] your years

šə·nō·w·ṯā·yiḵ;

שְׁנוֹתָ֑יִךְ

have I made you

to the nations

lag·gō·w·yim,

and a mocking

wə·qal·lā·sāh

hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ.

הָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃

[Those that be] near

haq·qə·rō·ḇō·wṯ

הַקְּרֹב֛וֹת

[those that be] and far

wə·hā·rə·ḥō·qō·wṯ

וְהָרְחֹק֥וֹת

you shall mock

yiṯ·qal·lə·sū-

יִתְקַלְּסוּ־

ham·mə·hū·māh.

הַמְּהוּמָֽה׃

according to his power

to the end that

In you have they set light

with the stranger

of you have they dealt

by oppression

in your midst

bə·ṯō·w·ḵêḵ;

the fatherless

and the widow

wə·’al·mā·nāh

וְאַלְמָנָ֖ה

in you have they mistreated

my holy things

you have despised

šab·bə·ṯō·ṯay

שַׁבְּתֹתַ֖י

have profaned

חִלָּֽלְתְּ׃

In you are men

that carry tales

to the end that

the mountains

in you they eat

of you they commit

in the middle

ḇə·ṯō·w·ḵêḵ.

their father

In you have they discovered

for pollution her

that was set apart

in you have they humbled

of with his neighbor

has committed

tō·w·‘ê·ḇāh,

his daughter-in-law

of his father

in you has humbled

In you they have taken

to the end that

and increase

וְתַרְבִּ֣ית

you have taken

and you have greedily gained

wat·tə·ḇaṣ·ṣə·‘î

וַתְּבַצְּעִ֤י

of your neighbors

by oppression

have forgotten me

therefore I have struck

at your dishonest

you have made

in the middle

bə·ṯō·w·ḵêḵ.

בְּתוֹכֵֽךְ׃

hă·ya·‘ă·mōḏ

Can your heart

te·ḥĕ·zaq·nāh

תֶּחֱזַ֣קְנָה

can your hands

with thee? I

דִּבַּ֥רְתִּי

And [it] and will do

wə·‘ā·śî·ṯî.

וְעָשִֽׂיתִי׃

and I will scatter

wa·hă·p̄î·ṣō·w·ṯî

וַהֲפִיצוֹתִ֤י

among the nations

bag·gō·w·yim,

and disperse you

wə·zê·rî·ṯîḵ

וְזֵרִיתִ֖יךְ

in the countries

bā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ;

בָּאֲרָצ֑וֹת

and will consume

wa·hă·ṯim·mō·ṯî

וַהֲתִמֹּתִ֥י

your filthiness

And you shall take your inheritance

וְנִחַ֥לְתְּ

yourself in the sight

of the nations

that you shall know

wə·yā·ḏa·‘at

וְיָדַ֖עַתְּ

is to me become

wə·‘ō·w·p̄e·reṯ

וְעוֹפֶ֙רֶת֙

in the middle

in the furnace

I will gather

of Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim.

יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

[As] they gather

wə·‘ō·w·p̄e·reṯ

into the furnace

on it in order to melt

לְהַנְתִּ֑יךְ

will I gather

[you] in my anger

and in my fury

ū·ḇa·ḥă·mā·ṯî,

וּבַחֲמָתִ֔י

and I will leave

wə·hin·naḥ·tî

וְהִנַּחְתִּ֥י

[you there] and melt

wə·hit·taḵ·tî

וְהִתַּכְתִּ֖י

I will gather

wə·ḵin·nas·tî

וְכִנַּסְתִּ֣י

wə·nā·p̄aḥ·tî

וְנָפַחְתִּ֥י

with the fire

and you shall be melted

wə·nit·taḵ·tem

וְנִתַּכְתֶּ֖ם

in the midst

bə·ṯō·w·ḵāh.

בְּתוֹכָֽהּ׃

כְּהִתּ֥וּךְ

in the midst

in the furnace

shall you be melted

in the middle

ḇə·ṯō·w·ḵāh;

that you shall know

וִֽידַעְתֶּם֙

have poured out

שָׁפַ֥כְתִּי

[are] the land

mə·ṭō·hā·rāh

on in the day

of indignation

[There is] a conspiracy

of her prophets

נְבִיאֶ֙יהָ֙

in her midst

bə·ṯō·w·ḵāh,

like a roaring

they have devoured

the treasure

precious things

they have taken

’al·mə·nō·w·ṯe·hā

אַלְמְנוֹתֶ֖יהָ

they have made her many

in the midst

ḇə·ṯō·w·ḵāh.

have violated

and have profaned

way·ḥal·lə·lū

וַיְחַלְּל֣וּ

my holy things

do they have made

הִבְדִּ֔ילוּ

[difference] the unclean

have they showed

and from my Sabbaths

ū·mi·šab·bə·ṯō·w·ṯay

וּמִשַׁבְּתוֹתַי֙

and I am profaned

bə·ṯō·w·ḵām.

in the middle [are]

בְקִרְבָּ֔הּ

thereof like wolves

כִּזְאֵבִ֖ים

nə·p̄ā·šō·wṯ,

to the end that

dishonest gain

and her prophets

ū·nə·ḇî·’e·hā,

וּנְבִיאֶ֗יהָ

with untempered

[morter] seeing

and divining

wə·qō·sə·mîm

when the LORD

and exercised

and the poor

wə·’eḇ·yō·wn

have mistreated

the stranger

they have oppressed

And I sought

wā·’ă·ḇaq·qêš

וָאֲבַקֵּ֣שׁ

that should make up

that I should not

Therefore have I poured out

וָאֶשְׁפֹּ֤ךְ

my indignation them

with the fire

I have consumed

כִּלִּיתִ֑ים

their own way

upon their heads

have I recompensed
