הַכָּרָה f. (Verbal of Hiph. from the root נָכַר, of the form הַצָּלָה, see Gr. § 74, 29, § 75, I.[83, 28; 84, 1]), a knowing, taking knowledge of [“a beholding”]; Isaiah 3:9, הַכָּרַת פְּנֵיהֶם “the knowledge of their countenance,” i.e. what may be known by their faces, what they manifestly shew [“the beholding of their persons, i.e. respect of persons, partiality in a judge; compare the phrase הִכִּיר פָּנִים in נָכַר Hiphil”].
