Judah has dealt treacherously, and a disgusting thing is done in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has profaned the holiness of Yahweh which he loves, and has married the daughter of a foreign god.

For he hates divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, and him that covers his garment with violence, says Yahweh of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.

You have wearied Yahweh with your words. Yet you say, Wherein have we wearied him? In that you say, Every one that does evil is good in the eyes of Yahweh, and he delights in them; or where is the God of justice?

Will man rob God? yet you rob me. But you say, Wherein have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings.

You have said, It is vain to serve God; and what profit is it that we have kept his charge, and that we have walked mournfully before Yahweh of hosts?

And now we call the proud happy; yes, those that work wickedness are built up; yes, they tempt God, and escape.

Then you shall return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that does not serve him.

Look, the virgin will be pregnant and will give birth to a son, and they will call his name Immanuel, which translated means, "God with us".

And being warned [of God] in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in the place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there; and being warned [of God] in a dream, he withdrew into the parts of Galilee,

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

and says to him, If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning you: and, On their hands they shall bear you up, Lest perhaps you dash your foot against a stone.

Jesus said to him, Again it is written, You shall not make trial of the Lord your God.

Then Jesus says to him, Go, Satan: for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve only him.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God.

but I say to you, don't swear at all; neither by the heaven, for it is the throne of God;
