But others mocking said, They are filled with new wine.

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spoke forth to them, [saying], You men of Judea, and all you that dwell at Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words.

For these are not drunk, as you suppose; seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day.

but this is that which has been spoken through the prophet Joel:

For David did not ascend into the heavens: but he says himself, "The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand,

But Peter said, Silver and gold I have none; but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.

But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a man [who was] a murderer to be granted to you,

But the things which God foreshowed by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.

But many of those that heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about 5,000.

But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the Sanhedrin, they conferred among themselves,

But that it spread no further among the people, let us threaten them, that they speak from now on to no man in this name.

But Peter and John answered and said to them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you judge:

for we cannot but speak the things which we saw and heard.

And the multitude of those that believed were of one heart and soul: and not one [of them] said that anything of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

But Peter said, Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back [part] of the price of the land?

While it remained, did it not remain your own? and after it was sold, was it not in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? you have not lied to men, but to God.

But Peter [said] to her, How is it that you have agreed together to try the Spirit of the Lord? look, the feet of those that have buried your husband are at the door, and they shall carry you out.

But of the rest no man dared join himself to them: nevertheless the people magnified them;

But the high priest rose up, and all those that were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy,
