Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, a sojourner, as all my fathers were.

My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the health of his countenance.

For they gat not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.

Thou art my King, O God: command deliverance for Jacob.

For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.

In God have we made our boast all the day long, and we will give thanks unto thy name for ever. Selah

Thou makest us to turn back from the adversary: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.
