Then I acknowledged my sinne vnto thee, neither hid I mine iniquitie: for I thought, I will confesse against my selfe my wickednesse vnto the Lord, and thou forgauest the punishment of my sinne. Selah.

Reioyce in the Lord, O ye righteous: for it becommeth vpright men to be thankefull.

For the word of the Lord is righteous, and all his workes are faithfull.

For he spake, and it was done: he commanded, and it stood.

The counsell of the Lord shall stand for euer, and the thoughts of his heart throughout all ages.

Blessed is that nation, whose God is the Lord: euen the people that he hath chosen for his inheritance.

Our soule waiteth for the Lord: for he is our helpe and our shielde.

Feare the Lord, ye his Saintes: for nothing wanteth to them that feare him.

What man is he, that desireth life, and loueth long dayes for to see good?

Lay hand vpon the shielde and buckler, and stand vp for mine helpe.

For without cause they haue hid the pit & their net for me: without cause haue they digged a pit for my soule.

All my bones shall say, Lorde, who is like vnto thee, which deliuerest the poore from him, that is too strong for him! yea, the poore and him that is in miserie, from him that spoyleth him!

They rewarded me euill for good, to haue spoyled my soule.

For they speake not as friendes: but they imagine deceitfull woordes against the quiet of the lande.

For hee flattereth himselfe in his owne eyes, while his iniquitie is foud worthy to be hated.

For with thee is the well of life, and in thy light shall we see light.

A Psalme of Dauid. Fret not thy selfe because of the wicked men, neither be enuious for the euill doers.

For they shall soone bee cut downe like grasse, and shall wither as the greene herbe.

Waite patiently vpon the Lorde and hope in him: fret not thy selfe for him which prospereth in his way: nor for the man that bringeth his enterprises to passe.
