But I will spread My net over him, and he will be caught in My snare. I will bring him to Babylon, the land of the Chaldeans; yet he will not see it, and there he will die.

They see false visions and speak lying divinations. They claim, "Thus declares the LORD," when the LORD did not send them; yet they wait for the fulfillment of their message.

My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and speak lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of My people or be recorded in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.

Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: 'See, I am against the magic charms with which you ensnare souls like birds, and I will tear them from your arms. I will free the souls you have ensnared.

therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will deliver My people from your hands. Then you will know that I am the LORD.'"

Yet, behold, some survivors will be left in it-sons and daughters who will be brought out. They will come out to you, and when you see their conduct and actions, you will be consoled regarding the disaster I have brought upon Jerusalem-everything that I have brought upon it.

They will bring you consolation when you see their conduct and actions, and you will know that it was not without cause that I have done all these things within it, declares the Lord GOD.'"

therefore I will surely gather all the lovers with whom you found pleasure, all those you loved and all those you hated. I will gather them against you from all around and expose you before them, and they will see all your nakedness.

Then all people will see that I, the LORD, have kindled it; it will not be quenched.'"

See how every prince of Israel within you has used his power to shed blood.

"Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt. See, it has not been bound up for healing or splinted to give it strength to handle a sword.

Pharaoh will see them and be comforted over all his multitude-Pharaoh and all his army, slain by the sword, declares the Lord GOD.

'I will display My glory among the nations, and all the nations will see the judgment that I execute and the hand that I lay upon them.

"Son of man," he said to me, "look with your eyes, hear with your ears, and pay attention to everything I am going to show you, for that is why you have been brought here. Report everything you see to the house of Israel."

"Do you see this, son of man?" he asked. Then he led me back to the bank of the river.

but he said to Daniel, "I fear my lord the king, who has assigned your food and drink. For why should he see your faces looking thinner than those of the other young men your age? You would endanger my head before the king."

Then compare our appearances with those of the young men who are eating the royal food, and deal with your servants according to what you see."

The king replied, "I know for sure you are stalling for time, because you see that my word is final.

"Look!" he exclaimed. "I see four men, unbound and unharmed, walking around in the fire-and the fourth looks like a son of the gods!"

Instead, you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven. The vessels from His house were brought to you, and as you drank wine from them with your nobles, wives, and concubines, you praised gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you have failed to glorify the God who holds in His hand your very breath and all your ways.
