"My anger burns against the shepherds,And I will visit punishment upon the male goats;For Yahweh of hosts has visited His flock, the house of Judah,And will make them like His splendid horse in battle.

And I will make them mighty in Yahweh,And in His name they will walk," declares Yahweh.

For I will no longer spare the inhabitants of the land," declares Yahweh; "but behold, I will cause the men to fall, each into another's hand and into the hand of his king; and they will crush the land, and I will not deliver them from their hand."

Woe to the worthless shepherdWho forsakes the flock!A sword will be on his armAnd on his right eye!His arm will be totally dried up,And his right eye will be utterly dimmed."

In that day," declares Yahweh, "I will strike every horse with bewilderment and his rider with madness. But I will open my eyes to watch over the house of Judah, while I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

And it will be that if anyone still prophesies, then his father and mother who gave birth to him will say to him, ‘You shall not live, for you have spoken falsely in the name of Yahweh'; and his father and mother who gave birth to him will pierce him through when he prophesies.

And it will be in that day, that the prophets will each be ashamed of his vision when he prophesies, and they will not put on a hairy mantle in order to deceive;

And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.

And Yahweh will be king over all the earth; in that day Yahweh will be the only one, and His name one.

but I have hated Esau, and I have set his mountains to be a desolation and his inheritance for the jackals of the wilderness."

"‘A son honors his father, and a slave his master. Then if I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is the fear of Me?' says Yahweh of hosts to you, O priests who despise My name. But you say, ‘How have we despised Your name?'

"But cursed be the swindler who has a male in his flock and vows it, but sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord, for I am a great King," says Yahweh of hosts, "and My name is feared among the nations."

Instruction of truth was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found on his lips; he walked with Me in peace and uprightness, and he turned many back from iniquity.

For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, and men should seek instruction from his mouth; for he is the messenger of Yahweh of hosts.

"Do we not all have one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously each against his brother so as to profane the covenant of our fathers?

For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with wrong," says Yahweh of hosts. "Be careful then to keep your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously."

"Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming," says Yahweh of hosts.

"But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a smelter's fire and like fullers' soap.

"Then I will draw near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers and against the adulterers and against those who swear falsely and against those who oppress the wage earner in his wages, the widow and the orphan, and those who turn aside the sojourner and do not fear Me," says Yahweh of hosts.

You have said, ‘It is worthless to serve God; and what gain is it that we have kept His charge and that we have walked in mourning before Yahweh of hosts?
