See, the Lord is coming out of his place; he is coming down to walk on the tops of the mountains.

The seers will be ashamed; the people who see the future will be embarrassed. Yes, all of them will cover their mouths, because there will be no answer from God."

I sinned against the Lord , so he was angry with me, but he will defend my case in court. He will bring about what is right for me. Then he will bring me out into the light, and I will see him set things right.

Then my enemies will see this, and they will be ashamed, those who said to me, ‘Where is the Lord your God?' I will look down on them. They will get walked on, like mud in the street."

When the nations see those miracles, they will no longer brag about their power. They will put their hands over their mouths, refusing to listen.

Why do you make me see wrong things and make me look at trouble? People are destroying things and hurting others in front of me; they are arguing and fighting.

Your eyes are too good to look at evil; you cannot stand to see those who do wrong. So how can you put up with those evil people? How can you be quiet when the wicked swallow up people who are better than they are?

I will stand like a guard to watch and place myself at the tower. I will wait to see what he will say to me; I will wait to learn how God will answer my complaint.

At that time I will gather you; at that time I will bring you back home. I will give you honor and praise from people everywhere when I make things go well again for you, as you will see with your own eyes," says the Lord .

I asked him, "Where are you going?" He said to me, "I am going to measure Jerusalem, to see how wide and how long it is."

He asked me, "What do you see?" I said, "I see a solid gold lampstand with a bowl at the top. And there are seven lamps and also seven places for wicks.

"The people should not think that small beginnings are unimportant. They will be happy when they see Zerubbabel with tools, building the Temple. "(These are the seven eyes of the Lord , which look back and forth across the earth.)"

The angel asked me, "What do you see?" I answered, "I see a flying scroll, thirty feet long and fifteen feet wide."

Then the angel who was talking with me came forward and said to me, "Look up and see what is going out."

The city of Ashkelon will see it and be afraid. The people of Gaza will shake with fear, and the people of Ekron will lose hope. No king will be left in Gaza, and no one will live in Ashkelon anymore.

Idols tell lies; fortune-tellers see false visions and tell about false dreams. The comfort they give is worth nothing. So the people are like lost sheep. They are abused, because there is no shepherd.

The people of Ephraim will be strong like soldiers; they will be glad as when they have drunk wine. Their children will see it and rejoice; they will be happy in the Lord .

You will see these things with your own eyes. And you will say, ‘The Lord is great, even outside the borders of Israel!'"

You will again see the difference between good and evil people, between those who serve God and those who don't.

These people who live in darkness will see a great light. They live in a place covered with the shadows of death, but a light will shine on them." Isaiah 9:1–2
