Looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, the scribes and Pharisees were watching Him closely to see if He would heal on the Sabbath.

How can you say, 'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' while you yourself fail to see the beam in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

After John's messengers had left, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John: "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swaying in the wind?

Otherwise, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Look, those who wear elegant clothing and live in luxury are found in palaces.

And turning to the woman, He said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? When I entered your house, you did not give Me water for My feet, but she wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.

He replied, "The knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, 'though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.'

No one lights a lamp and covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, he sets it on a lampstand, so those who enter can see the light.

Then Jesus' mother and brothers came to see Him, but they were unable to reach Him because of the crowd.

He was told, "Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, wanting to see You."

So the people went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man whom the demons had left, sitting at Jesus' feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

"I beheaded John," Herod said, "but who is this man I hear such things about?" And he kept trying to see Jesus.

But I tell you truthfully, some who are standing here will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God."

See, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you.

Then Jesus turned to the disciples and said privately, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.

For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it."

But the Pharisee was surprised to see that Jesus did not first wash before the meal.

But give as alms the things that are within you, and you will see that everything is clean for you.
