But what did you go out to see? a man clothed in soft raiment? Look, those that are gorgeously appareled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.

But what did you go out to see? a prophet? Yes, I say to you, and much more than a prophet.

And turning to the woman, he said to Simon, Do you see this woman? I entered into your house, you gave me no water for my feet: but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with her hair.

And he said, To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to the rest in parables; that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.

And no man, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those that enter in may see the light.

And it was told him, Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you.

And they went out to see what had come to pass; and they came to Jesus, and found the man, from whom the demons went out, sitting, clothed and in his right mind, at the feet of Jesus: and they were afraid.

But Herod said, John I beheaded: but who is this, about whom I hear such things? And he sought to see him.

But I tell you of a truth, There are some of those that stand here, who shall in no way taste of death, until they see the kingdom of God.

And turning to the disciples, he said privately, Blessed [are] the eyes which see the things that you see:

for I say to you, that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which you see, and did not see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and did not hear them.

No man, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a cellar, neither under the bushel, but on the stand, that those which enter in may see the light.

And he said to the multitudes also, When you see the cloud rising in the west, right away you say, There comes a shower; and so it comes to pass.

And when [you see] a south wind blowing, you say, There will be a scorching heat; and it comes to pass.

There shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth, when you shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and yourselves cast forth outside.

Look, your house is left to you: and I say to you, You shall not see me until the time comes when you shall say, Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord.

And they all with one [consent] began to make excuses. The first said to him, I have bought a field, and I must surely go out and see it; I pray you have me excused.

And he said to the disciples, The days will come, when you shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and you shall not see it.

And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the crowd, because he was little of stature.

And he ran on before, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
