Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness!You have relieved me in my distress;Be gracious to me and hear my prayer.

Give heed to the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God,For to You I pray.

For You are not a God who delights in wickedness;Evil does not sojourn with You.

Hold them guilty, O God;By their own devices let them fall!In the abundance of their transgressions thrust them out,For they are rebellious against You.

O Yahweh my God, in You I have taken refuge;Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,

O Yahweh my God, if I have done this,If there is injustice in my hands,

O let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous;For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds.

My shield is with God,Who saves the upright in heart.

God is a righteous judge,And a God who has indignation every day.

The wicked will return to Sheol,Even all the nations who forget God.

The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek Him.All his thoughts are, "There is no God."

He says in his heart, "God has forgotten;He has hidden His face; He will never see it."

Arise, O Yahweh; O God, lift up Your hand.Do not forget the afflicted.

Why has the wicked spurned God?He has said in his heart, "You will not require it."

Look and answer me, O Yahweh my God;Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,

The wicked fool says in his heart, "There is no God."They act corruptly, they commit abominable deeds;There is no one who does good.

Yahweh looks down from heaven upon the sons of menTo see if there is anyone who has insight,Anyone who seeks after God.

There they are in great dread,For God is with the righteous generation.

Keep me, O God, for I take refuge in You.

The pains of those who have bartered for another god will be multiplied;I shall not pour out their drink offerings of blood,Nor will I take their names upon my lips.
