"Do you think this to be just? You say, ‘I am in the right before God.'

But no one says, ‘Where is God my Maker, who gives strength in the night,

Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.

"Surely God is mighty and does not despise any; he is mighty in strength of understanding.

See, God is exalted in his power; who is a teacher like him?

Surely God is great, and we do not know him; the number of his years is unsearchable.

God thunders wondrously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend.

By the breath of God ice is given, and the broad waters are frozen fast.

"Hear this, O Job; stop and consider the wondrous works of God.

Do you know how God lays his command upon them, and causes the lightning of his cloud to shine?

Out of the north comes golden splendor; around God is awesome majesty.

Who provides for the raven its prey, when its young ones cry to God, and wander about for lack of food?

because God has made it forget wisdom, and given it no share in understanding.

"Shall a faultfinder contend with the Almighty? Anyone who argues with God must respond."

Have you an arm like God, and can you thunder with a voice like his?

"It is the first of the great acts of God— only its Maker can approach it with the sword.

many are saying to me, "There is no help for you in God." Selah

Rise up, O Lord ! Deliver me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.
