O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but you establish the righteous: For the righteous God tries the minds and hearts.

My shield is with God, Who saves the upright in heart.

God is a righteous judge, Yes, a God that has indignation every day.

For you have made him but little lower than God, And crown him with glory and honor.

The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol, Even all the nations that forget God.

The wicked, in the pride of his countenance, [says], He will not require [it]. All his thoughts are, There is no God.

He says in his heart, God has forgotten; He hides his face; he will never see it.

Arise, O Yahweh; O God, lift up your hand: Do not forget the poor.

Why does the wicked despise God, And say in his heart, You will not require [it]?

Consider [and] answer me, O Yahweh my God: Lighten my eyes, or else I will sleep the [sleep of] death;

Yahweh looked down from heaven on the sons of man, To see if there were any that understood, That sought after God.
