way·yiq·qā·hêl

וַיִּקָּהֵ֨ל

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ

lə·p̄ā·nê·nū,

brought us up

הֶֽעֱלָ֙נוּ֙

out of the land

of your wives

of your sons

and of your daughers

ū·ḇə·nō·ṯê·ḵem;

וּבְנֹתֵיכֶ֑ם

and bring them

And broke off

way·yiṯ·pā·rə·qū

וַיִּתְפָּֽרְקוּ֙

in their ears

bə·’ā·zə·nê·hem;

בְּאָזְנֵיהֶ֑ם

and brought [them]

way·yā·ḇî·’ū

וַיָּבִ֖יאוּ

And he received [them]

from their hand

and fashioned

with a graving tool

way·ya·‘ă·śê·hū

וַֽיַּעֲשֵׂ֖הוּ

and they said

way·yō·mə·rū,

וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ

brought you up

out of the land

and made proclamation

And they rose up early

way·yaš·kî·mū

וַיַּשְׁכִּ֙ימוּ֙

on the next day

mim·mā·ḥo·rāṯ,

מִֽמָּחֳרָ֔ת

way·ya·‘ă·lū

burnt offerings

way·yag·gi·šū

וַיַּגִּ֖שׁוּ

peace offerings

and to drink

way·yā·qu·mū

get you down

have corrupted themselves

out of the land

They have turned aside

they have made

and have worshiped

way·yiš·ta·ḥă·wū-

וַיִּשְׁתַּֽחֲווּ־

and have sacrificed

way·yiz·bə·ḥū-

וַיִּזְבְּחוּ־

way·yō·mə·rū,

וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ

have brought you up

out of the land

Now therefore

that may become hot

against them

that I may consume

wa·’ă·ḵal·lêm;

and I will make

wə·’e·‘ĕ·śeh

וְאֶֽעֱשֶׂ֥ה

does become hot

against Your people

bə·‘am·me·ḵā,

you have brought forth

out of the land

and with a hand

the Egyptians

did he bring them out

in the mountains

and to consume them

ū·lə·ḵal·lō·ṯām,

וּ֨לְכַלֹּתָ֔ם

of the earth

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh;

from Your burning

wə·hin·nā·ḥêm

to Your people

lə·‘am·me·ḵā.

lə·’aḇ·rā·hām

לְאַבְרָהָם֩

ū·lə·yiś·rā·’êl

וּלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל

your servants

‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā,

נִשְׁבַּ֣עְתָּ

wat·tə·ḏab·bêr

וַתְּדַבֵּ֣ר

I will multiply

your offspring

as the stars

כְּכוֹכְבֵ֖י

haš·šā·mā·yim;

הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם

I have spoken of

to your descendants

lə·zar·‘ă·ḵem,

לְזַרְעֲכֶ֔ם

and they shall inherit [it]

And repented

way·yin·nā·ḥem

וַיִּנָּ֖חֶם

to His people

and went down

of the testimony

the tablets [were]

and on the other

And the tablets [were]

wə·hal·lu·ḥōṯ,

וְהַ֨לֻּחֹ֔ת

and the writing [was]

wə·ham·miḵ·tāḇ,

וְהַמִּכְתָּ֗ב

וַיִּשְׁמַ֧ע

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘

of the people

as they shouted

then he said

[There is] a noise

bam·ma·ḥă·neh

בַּֽמַּחֲנֶה׃

[It is] the voice

[is it] the voice

for being overcome

[but] the sound

And it came to pass

he came near

ham·ma·ḥă·neh,

הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה

and the dancing

ū·mə·ḥō·lōṯ;

and became hot

וַיַּשְׁלֵ֤ךְ

out of his hands

וַיְשַׁבֵּ֥ר

at the foot of

they had made

and burnt [it]

way·yiś·rōp̄

וַיִּשְׂרֹ֣ף

and strewed [it]

of the water

and drink it

he made the children

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

you have brought

let become hot

[are set] on evil

For they said

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּ֣אמְרוּ

lə·p̄ā·nê·nū;

brought us up

הֶֽעֱלָ֙נוּ֙

out of the land

has any gold

let them break off [it]

hiṯ·pā·rā·qū

הִתְפָּרָ֖קוּ

So they gave

way·yit·tə·nū-

וַיִּתְּנוּ־

wā·’aš·li·ḵê·hū

וָאַשְׁלִכֵ֣הוּ

it into the fire

and there came out

out of control

had let them out of control

to be a derision

among their enemies

bə·qā·mê·hem.

בְּקָמֵיהֶֽם׃

way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ

ham·ma·ḥă·neh,

הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה

on the LOR s

way·yê·’ā·sə·p̄ū

וַיֵּאָסְפ֥וּ

[let him come] the sons

bam·ma·ḥă·neh,

בַּֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה

and every man

his companion

and every man

his neighbor

way·ya·‘ă·śū

וַיַּֽעֲשׂ֥וּ

the children

according to the word

and there fell

כִּשְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת

You have been ordained

and on his brother

ū·ḇə·’ā·ḥîw;

that he may bestow

And it came to pass

On the next day

mim·mā·ḥo·rāṯ,

מִֽמָּחֳרָ֔ת

I will go up

I can make an atonement

’ă·ḵap·pə·rāh

ḥaṭ·ṭaṯ·ḵem.

חַטַּאתְכֶֽם׃

And returned

and have made

way·ya·‘ă·śū

וַיַּֽעֲשׂ֥וּ

you will forgive

out of your book

mis·sip̄·rə·ḵā

מִֽסִּפְרְךָ֖

you have written

kā·ṯā·ḇə·tā.

כָּתָֽבְתָּ׃

will I blot out

mis·sip̄·rî.

מִסִּפְרִֽי׃

Therefore now

that [place]

I have spoken

דִּבַּ֙רְתִּי֙

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā;

nevertheless in the day

when I visit

then I will visit

ū·p̄ā·qaḏ·tî

וּפָקַדְתִּ֥י

way·yig·gōp̄
