And it came to pass

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הַדְּבָרִ֣ים

that told [someone]

lə·yō·w·sêp̄,

your father [is]

’ep̄·rā·yim.

And told [one]

lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ,

and strengthened himself

way·yiṯ·ḥaz·zêq

וַיִּתְחַזֵּק֙

ham·miṭ·ṭāh.

I will make you fruitful

and multiply you

wə·hir·bî·ṯi·ḵā,

וְהִרְבִּיתִ֔ךָ

and I will make you

ū·nə·ṯat·tî·ḵā

וּנְתַתִּ֖יךָ

and will give

wə·nā·ṯat·tî

וְנָ֨תַתִּ֜י

to your descendants

lə·zar·‘ă·ḵā

[for] a possession

which were born

han·nō·w·lā·ḏîm

הַנּוֹלָדִ֨ים

מִצְרַ֖יְמָה

and Manasseh

ū·mə·naš·šeh,

וּמְנַשֶּׁ֔ה

כִּרְאוּבֵ֥ן

wə·šim·‘ō·wn

וְשִׁמְע֖וֹן

they shall be

and your offspring

ū·mō·w·laḏ·tə·ḵā

וּמוֹלַדְתְּךָ֛

you fathered

’a·ḥă·rê·hem

of their brothers

shall be called

yiq·qā·rə·’ū

in their inheritance

bə·na·ḥă·lā·ṯām.

בְּנַחֲלָתָֽם׃

And as for me

mip·pad·dān,

on the journey

[there was] but a little

’ep̄·rā·ṯāh;

and I buried her

wā·’eq·bə·re·hā

וָאֶקְבְּרֶ֤הָ

in this [place]

and I will bless them

wa·’ă·ḇā·ră·ḵêm.

וַאֲבָרֲכֵֽם׃

Now the eyes

[so that] not

And he brought them near

and he kissed

and embraced

p̄il·lā·lə·tî;

פִלָּ֑לְתִּי

your children

And brought out

from between

and he bowed himself

way·yiš·ta·ḥū

וַיִּשְׁתַּ֥חוּ

with his face

to the earth

in the right hand

בִּֽימִינוֹ֙

in the left hand

and with the left

בִשְׂמֹאל֖וֹ

and right hand

he brought them near

And stretched out

וַיִּשְׁלַח֩

his right hand

his left hand

wittingly crossing

Manasseh [was]

the firstborn

hab·bə·ḵō·wr.

And he blessed

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

הָֽאֱלֹהִ֡ים

hiṯ·hal·lə·ḵū

הִתְהַלְּכ֨וּ

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙

all my life long

הַמַּלְאָךְ֩

who redeemed

han·nə·‘ā·rîm

הַנְּעָרִים֒

and be named

wə·yiq·qā·rê

and the name

of my fathers

and let them grow

into a multitude

in the midst

of the earth

and it displeased

and he held up

וַיִּתְמֹ֣ךְ

of his father

the firstborn

your right hand

יָדַ֤עְתִּֽי

shall become

shall be great

shall be greater

and his offspring

shall become

hag·gō·w·yim.

And he blessed

way·ḇā·ră·ḵêm

וַיְבָ֨רֲכֵ֜ם

shall make you

kə·’ep̄·ra·yim

כְּאֶפְרַ֖יִם

and as Manasseh

wə·ḵim·naš·šeh;

וְכִמְנַשֶּׁ֑ה

but shall be

of your fathers

’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem.

אֲבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

your brothers

לָקַ֙חְתִּי֙

from the hand

of the Amorite

hā·’ĕ·mō·rî,

with my sword

בְּחַרְבִּ֖י

and with my bow

ū·ḇə·qaš·tî.

וּבְקַשְׁתִּֽי׃
