שִׁקּוּצֶ֛יךָ

from My presence

then shall you not

And you shall swear

wə·niš·ba‘·tā

וְנִשְׁבַּ֙עְתָּ֙

בְּמִשְׁפָּ֣ט

and in righteousness

ū·ḇiṣ·ḏā·qāh;

וּבִצְדָקָ֑ה

and shall bless themselves

wə·hiṯ·bā·rə·ḵū

וְהִתְבָּ֥רְכוּ

and in him shall they glory

yiṯ·hal·lā·lū.

יִתְהַלָּֽלוּ׃

and Jerusalem

wə·lî·rū·šā·lim,

וְלִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

fallow ground

yourselves to the LORD

and take away

the foreskins

of your heart you

and inhabitants

of Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim;

יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

to quench [it]

of your deeds

ma·‘al·lê·ḵem.

מַעַלְלֵיכֶֽם׃

and in Jerusalem

ū·ḇî·rū·šā·lim

וּבִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙

הַשְׁמִ֔יעוּ

gather together

hê·’ā·sə·p̄ū

and let us go

wə·nā·ḇō·w·’āh

the defensed

ham·miḇ·ṣār.

הַמִּבְצָֽר׃

the standard

ṣî·yō·w·nāh,

ta·‘ă·mō·ḏū;

from the north

miṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn

a and destruction

from his thicket

mis·sub·bə·ḵōw,

מִֽסֻּבְּכ֔וֹ

and the destroyer

וּמַשְׁחִ֣ית

of the Gentiles

is on his way

he is gone forth

from his place

mim·mə·qō·mōw;

to make atonement

shall be laid waste

an inhabitant

with sackcloth

wə·hê·lî·lū;

וְהֵילִ֑ילוּ

do turned back

for the fierce

And it shall come to pass

shall perish

[that] the heart

and the heart

of the princes

and shall be astonished

wə·nā·šam·mū

וְנָשַׁ֙מּוּ֙

hak·kō·hă·nîm,

הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים

and the prophets

wə·han·nə·ḇî·’îm

וְהַנְּבִיאִ֖ים

shall wonder

you have greatly

and Jerusalem

wə·lî·rū·šā·lim

וְלִירוּשָׁלִַ֣ם

you shall have

wə·nā·ḡə·‘āh

whereas the sword

han·nā·p̄eš.

In that time

shall it be said

and to Jerusalem

wə·lî·rū·šā·lim,

וְלִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

of the high places

in the wilderness

bam·miḏ·bār,

בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר

of the daughter

of my people

[Even] a full

[places] shall come

מִשְׁפָּטִ֖ים

ka·‘ă·nā·nîm

כַּעֲנָנִ֣ים

he shall come up

and [shall be] as a whirlwind

wə·ḵas·sū·p̄āh

וְכַסּוּפָה֙

his chariots

mar·kə·ḇō·w·ṯāw,

מַרְכְּבוֹתָ֔יו

min·nə·šā·rîm

מִנְּשָׁרִ֖ים

we are spoiled

šud·dā·ḏə·nū.

שֻׁדָּֽדְנוּ׃

from wickedness

yə·rū·šā·lim,

יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

to the end that

you may be saved

tiw·wā·šê·‘î;

תִּוָּשֵׁ֑עִי

בְּקִרְבֵּ֖ךְ

maḥ·šə·ḇō·wṯ

מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת

shall your vain

and publishes

וּמַשְׁמִ֥יעַ

’ep̄·rā·yim.

Make you mention

הַזְכִּ֣ירוּ

to the nations

lag·gō·w·yim,

הַשְׁמִ֣יעוּ

yə·rū·šā·lim,

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם

[that] watchers

ham·mer·ḥāq;

and give out

way·yit·tə·nū

וַֽיִּתְּנ֛וּ

כְּשֹׁמְרֵ֣י

they against her

she has been rebellious

and your doings

ū·ma·‘ă·lā·la·yiḵ,

וּמַ֣עֲלָלַ֔יִךְ

have procured

[is] your wickedness

it is bitter

I am in anguish

(’ō·w·ḥî·lāh

makes a noise

do hold my peace

of the trumpet

[שָׁמַעְתִּי

(שָׁמַ֣עַתְּ

are my tents

yə·rî·‘ō·ṯāy.

יְרִיעֹתָֽי׃

the standard

of the trumpet

[is] foolish

For my people

children [are]

do understanding

but to do good

וּלְהֵיטִ֖יב

do knowledge

[it was] outside form

haš·šā·ma·yim

הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם

the mountains

they trembled

hag·gə·ḇā·‘ō·wṯ

הַגְּבָע֖וֹת

moved lightly

hiṯ·qal·qā·lū.

הִתְקַלְקָֽלוּ׃

[there was] man

of the heavens

haš·šā·ma·yim

הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם

the fruitful place [was]

a wilderness

ham·miḏ·bār;

הַמִּדְבָּ֑ר

thereof were broken down

at the presence

has the LORD

and a full end

and be black

haš·šā·ma·yim

הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם

I have spoken [it]

דִבַּ֙רְתִּי֙

I have purposed

and not [it]

will I turn back

mim·men·nāh.

At the sound

of the horsemen

they shall go

into the thickets

and on the rocks

ū·ḇak·kê·p̄îm

וּבַכֵּפִ֖ים

[shall be] forsaken

[are] spoiled

תִלְבְּשִׁ֨י

yourself with crimson

you deck you

with ornaments

shall you make yourself fair

תִּתְיַפִּ֑י

will despise

[your] lovers

you they will seek

yə·ḇaq·qê·šū.

יְבַקֵּֽשׁוּ׃

as of a women in travail

I have heard

שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי

as of one giving

kə·maḇ·kî·rāh,

כְּמַבְכִּירָ֔ה

of the daughter

[that] mourns herself

tiṯ·yap·pê·aḥ

תִּתְיַפֵּ֖חַ

[that] spreads her

[saying] woe me

[is] my soul

before murderers

lə·hō·rə·ḡîm.

לְהֹרְגִֽים׃
