Concerning the sons

lə·yiś·rā·’êl,

לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

[then] does their king

and his people

in its cities

and to be heard

wə·hiš·ma‘·tî

וְ֠הִשְׁמַעְתִּי

that I will cause an alarm

and it shall be

wə·hā·yə·ṯāh

and her daughers

ū·ḇə·nō·ṯe·hā

וּבְנֹתֶ֖יהָ

shall be burned

tiṣ·ṣaṯ·nāh;

תִּצַּ֑תְנָה

Then shall be heir

to those who were his heirs

ḥă·ḡō·rə·nāh

with sackcloth

sə·p̄ō·ḏə·nāh

and run to and fro

wə·hiṯ·šō·w·ṭaṭ·nāh

וְהִתְשׁוֹטַ֖טְנָה

by the hedges

bag·gə·ḏê·rō·wṯ;

בַּגְּדֵר֑וֹת

bag·gō·w·lāh

with his priests

and his princes

תִּתְהַֽלְלִי֙

in the valleys

bā·‘ă·mā·qîm,

בָּֽעֲמָקִ֔ים

your flowing

O backsliding

haš·šō·w·ḇê·ḇāh;

הַשּֽׁוֹבֵבָ֑ה

that trusted

hab·bō·ṭə·ḥāh

הַבֹּֽטְחָה֙

in her treasures

bə·’ō·ṣə·rō·ṯe·hā,

בְּאֹ֣צְרֹתֶ֔יהָ

[saying] shall come

I will bring

those who be about

sə·ḇî·ḇā·yiḵ;

סְבִיבָ֑יִךְ

you and you shall be driven out

wə·nid·daḥ·tem

וְנִדַּחְתֶּם֙

to gather him

And afterward

wə·’a·ḥă·rê-

I will bring again

the captivity

Concerning Edom

le·’ĕ·ḏō·wm,

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ,

to the prudent

is their wisdom

ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯām.

you turn back

O inhabitants

the calamity

for I will bring

[that] I will visit

פְּקַדְתִּֽיו׃

grape gatherers

gleaning grapes

‘ō·w·lê·lō·wṯ;

בַּלַּ֖יְלָה

they will destroy

הִשְׁחִ֥יתוּ

until they have enough

חָשַׂ֣פְתִּי

have made Esau

I have uncovered

גִּלֵּ֙יתִי֙

his secret places

מִסְתָּרָ֔יו

and to hide himself

his offspring

and his brothers

and his neighbors

וּשְׁכֵנָ֖יו

wə·’ê·nen·nū.

וְאֵינֶֽנּוּ׃

your fatherless children

[them] will preserve alive

and let your widows

wə·’al·mə·nō·ṯe·ḵā

וְאַלְמְנֹתֶ֖יךָ

תִּבְטָֽחוּ׃

מִשְׁפָּטָ֜ם

have assuredly

[that] and [are] you he [that] shall altogether

go unpunished

do go unpunished

you shall surely

תִּשְׁתֶּֽה׃

I have sworn

נִשְׁבַּ֙עְתִּי֙

a desolation

wə·liq·lā·lāh

וְלִקְלָלָ֖ה

shall become

thereof shall be

lə·ḥā·rə·ḇō·wṯ

I have heard

שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙

and an ambassador

among the nations

bag·gō·w·yim

[saying] Gather you together

hiṯ·qab·bə·ṣū

הִֽתְקַבְּצוּ֙

to the battle

lam·mil·ḥā·māh.

לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃

nə·ṯat·tî·ḵā

among the nations

bag·gō·w·yim;

your terribleness

tip̄·laṣ·tə·ḵā

תִּֽפְלַצְתְּךָ֞

has deceived

of your heart

O you that dwell

in the clefts

as the eagle you

כַּנֶּ֙שֶׁר֙

should make your nest

I will bring you down

’ō·w·rî·ḏə·ḵā

אֽוֹרִידְךָ֖

and shall be

wə·hā·yə·ṯāh

a desolation

it shall be astonished

and shall hiss

mak·kō·w·ṯe·hā.

מַכּוֹתֶֽהָ׃

As in the overthrow

kə·mah·pê·ḵaṯ

כְּֽמַהְפֵּכַ֞ת

and Gomorrah

wa·‘ă·mō·rāh

and the neighbor

ū·šə·ḵê·ne·hā

וּשְׁכֵנֶ֖יהָ

he shall come up

from the thickets

mig·gə·’ō·wn

הַיַּרְדֵּן֮

the dwelling place

of the strong

I will suddenly

אַרְגִּ֤יעָה

make him run away

’ă·rî·ṣen·nū

אֲרִיצֶ֨נּוּ

mê·‘ā·le·hā,

[man that] I may appoint

[is] will appoint me

yō·‘î·ḏen·nî,

יֹעִידֶ֔נִּי

the time? and who

[is] shepherd

he has taken

that his purposes

ū·maḥ·šə·ḇō·w·ṯāw,

וּמַ֨חְשְׁבוֹתָ֔יו

He has purposed

the inhabitants

shall draw them out

of the flock

he shall make their dwelling places

at the noise

of their fall

thereof was heard

as the eagle

he shall come up

and shall be

of the mighty men

as the heart

Concerning Damascus

lə·ḏam·me·śeq,

לְדַמֶּ֗שֶׂק

is confounded

for they have heard

they are fainthearted

[there is] sorrow

is became feeble

turns herself

he·ḥĕ·zî·qāh;

[her] on anguish

wa·ḥă·ḇā·lîm

’ă·ḥā·zat·tāh

of her Like a woman in childbirth

kay·yō·w·lê·ḏāh.

כַּיּוֹלֵדָֽה׃

(tə·hil·lāṯ;

מְשׂוֹשִֽׂי׃

shall fall her

in her streets

bir·ḥō·ḇō·ṯe·hā;

בִּרְחֹבֹתֶ֑יהָ

ham·mil·ḥā·māh

הַמִּלְחָמָ֤ה

shall be cut off

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ.

And I will kindle

wə·hiṣ·ṣat·tî

וְהִצַּ֥תִּי

and it shall consume

wə·’ā·ḵə·lāh

’ar·mə·nō·wṯ

of Ben-hadad

Concerning Kedar

and concerning the kingdoms

ū·lə·mam·lə·ḵō·wṯ

וּֽלְמַמְלְכ֣וֹת

shall strike

[nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·reṣ·ṣō·wr

[נְבוּכַדְרֶאצֹּור

Nebuchadnezzar

(nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·reṣ·ṣar

(נְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֣ר

’ā·ho·lê·hem

and their flocks

shall they take away

to themselves their curtains

yə·rî·‘ō·w·ṯê·hem

יְרִיעוֹתֵיהֶ֧ם

their vessels

and their camels

ū·ḡə·mal·lê·hem

וּגְמַלֵּיהֶ֖ם

they shall take

and they shall cry

O you inhabitants

Nebuchadnezzar

nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·reṣ·ṣar

נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֤ר

you and has conceived

ma·ḥă·šā·ḇāh.

מַחֲשָׁבָֽה׃

outside care

ḏə·lā·ṯa·yim

[which] dwell

יִשְׁכֹּֽנוּ׃

And shall be

their camels

ḡə·mal·lê·hem

גְמַלֵּיהֶ֜ם

and the multitude

of their livestock

and I will scatter

wə·zê·ri·ṯîm

[that are] them in the utmost

and from all

I will bring

their calamity

And shall be

wə·hā·yə·ṯāh

A desolation

yir·mə·yā·hū

יִרְמְיָ֥הוּ

at the beginning

בְּרֵאשִׁ֗ית

of the reign

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ,

I will break

of their might

gə·ḇū·rā·ṯām.

גְּבוּרָתָֽם׃

And will I bring

From the four

מֵֽאַרְבַּע֙

haš·šā·ma·yim,

הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם

and will scatter them

wə·zê·ri·ṯîm,

וְזֵ֣רִתִ֔ים

there shall be

the outcasts

and to be dismayed

wə·haḥ·tat·tî

וְהַחְתַּתִּ֣י

For I will cause Elam

their enemies

’ō·yə·ḇê·hem

וְלִפְנֵ֣י ׀

those who seek

and I will bring

and I will send

wə·šil·laḥ·tî

וְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֤י

’a·ḥă·rê·hem

אַֽחֲרֵיהֶם֙

the sword them

I have consumed

And I will set

וְשַׂמְתִּ֥י

and will destroy

wə·ha·’ă·ḇaḏ·tî

וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֥י

and the princes

But it shall come to pass

in the latter

bə·’a·ḥă·rîṯ

בְּאַחֲרִ֣ית

I will bring again

the captivity
