Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

בְּלִיל m. pr. something mixed, specially meslin, provender consisting of several kinds of grain, as wheat, barley, vetches, and other seeds (comp. Varro, De R. R. i. 31; Plin. xviii. 15, s. 41), all of which were sown mixed together [“or given to cattle”], Job 6:5, 24:6. It is clear that grain is to be understood from Isaiah 30:24.
