הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗ית

[that] certain

of the elders

way·yê·šə·ḇū

וַיֵּשְׁב֖וּ

to the elders

wə·’ā·mar·tā

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

will you judge

הֲתִשְׁפֹּ֣ט

will you judge them

hă·ṯiš·pō·wṭ

הֲתִשְׁפּ֖וֹט

the abominations

of their fathers

[them] cause them to know

hō·w·ḏî·‘êm.

wə·’ā·mar·tā

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

when I chose

ḇə·yiś·rā·’êl,

בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

and lifted up

to the descendants

of the house

and made myself known

wā·’iw·wā·ḏa‘

when I lifted up

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem.

אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

[that] I lifted up

lə·hō·w·ṣî·’ām

לְהֽוֹצִיאָ֖ם

I had espied

[is] the glory

hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ.

הָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃

the abominations

of his eyes them

Cast you away

הַשְׁלִ֔יכוּ

and with the idols

ū·ḇə·ḡil·lū·lê

וּבְגִלּוּלֵ֥י

defile not yourselves

tiṭ·ṭam·mā·’ū;

תִּטַּמָּ֑אוּ

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem.

אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

But they rebelled

do and would

the abominations

of their eyes

do cast away

הִשְׁלִ֔יכוּ

did they forsake

to accomplish

lə·ḵal·lō·wṯ

against them in the midst

But I worked

to the end that

of for my name

that it should not

do be polluted

in the sight

hag·gō·w·yim

ḇə·ṯō·w·ḵām;

I made myself known

נוֹדַ֤עְתִּי

lə·‘ê·nê·hem,

לְעֵ֣ינֵיהֶ֔ם

to them by bringing

lə·hō·w·ṣî·’ām

לְהוֹצִיאָ֖ם

out of the land

and Why I caused them to go

wā·’ō·w·ṣî·’êm

וָאֽוֹצִיאֵ֖ם

out of the land

and brought them

wā·’ă·ḇi·’êm

the wilderness

ham·miḏ·bār.

הַמִּדְבָּֽר׃

ḥuq·qō·w·ṯay,

my judgments

מִשְׁפָּטַ֖י

הוֹדַ֣עְתִּי

and he shall even live

Moreover also them

šab·bə·ṯō·w·ṯay

שַׁבְּתוֹתַי֙

to be a sign

that between me

ū·ḇê·nê·hem;

וּבֵֽינֵיהֶ֑ם

they might know

that sanctify

mə·qad·də·šām.

מְקַדְּשָֽׁם׃

and rebelled

But the house

against Me in the wilderness

bam·miḏ·bār,

בַּמִּדְבָּ֗ר

in My statutes

bə·ḥuq·qō·w·ṯay

בְּחֻקּוֹתַ֨י

do they walked

my judgments

מִשְׁפָּטַ֣י

they despised

and he shall even live

šab·bə·ṯō·ṯay

שַׁבְּתֹתַ֖י

they greatly

in the wilderness

בַּמִּדְבָּ֖ר

to annihilate

lə·ḵal·lō·w·ṯām.

לְכַלּוֹתָֽם׃

But I worked

wā·’e·‘ĕ·śeh

to the end that

of for my name

that it should not

do be polluted

in the sight

hag·gō·w·yim,

I brought them out

lə·‘ê·nê·hem.

לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃

and Yet also

in the wilderness

bam·miḏ·bār;

בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר

that I would not

[them] flowing

[is] the glory

hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ.

הָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃

my judgments

bə·miš·pā·ṭay

בְּמִשְׁפָּטַ֣י

they despised

in my statutes

ḥuq·qō·w·ṯay

šab·bə·ṯō·w·ṯay

שַׁבְּתוֹתַ֖י

but polluted

ḡil·lū·lê·hem

גִלּוּלֵיהֶ֖ם

for their heart

Nevertheless my eye

from destroying them

miš·ša·ḥă·ṯām;

מִֽשַּׁחֲתָ֑ם

in the wilderness

bam·miḏ·bār.

בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃

their children

in the wilderness

bam·miḏ·bār,

בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר

in the statutes

of your fathers you

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem

אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙

their judgments

miš·pə·ṭê·hem

מִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶ֖ם

תִּשְׁמֹ֑רוּ

and yourselves with their idols

ū·ḇə·ḡil·lū·lê·hem

וּבְגִלּוּלֵיהֶ֖ם

defile yourselves

tiṭ·ṭam·mā·’ū.

תִּטַּמָּֽאוּ׃

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem,

in My statutes

bə·ḥuq·qō·w·ṯay

בְּחֻקּוֹתַ֖י

my judgments

מִשְׁפָּטַ֥י

šab·bə·ṯō·w·ṯay

שַׁבְּתוֹתַ֖י

and they shall be

that between me

ū·ḇê·nê·ḵem,

וּבֵֽינֵיכֶ֔ם

you may know

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem.

אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

and rebelled

Notwithstanding the children

in My statutes

bə·ḥuq·qō·w·ṯay

בְּחֻקּוֹתַ֣י

do they walked

my judgments

מִשְׁפָּטַ֨י

and he shall even live

šab·bə·ṯō·w·ṯay

שַׁבְּתוֹתַ֖י

I brought them forth

lə·‘ê·nê·hem.

לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃

to them also

in the wilderness

bam·miḏ·bār;

בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר

that I would scatter

among the nations

bag·gō·w·yim,

and disperse

ū·lə·zā·rō·wṯ

through the countries

bā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ.

בָּאֲרָצֽוֹת׃

my judgments

מִשְׁפָּטַ֤י

but my statutes

wə·ḥuq·qō·w·ṯay

וְחֻקּוֹתַ֣י

had despised

šab·bə·ṯō·w·ṯay

שַׁבְּתוֹתַ֖י

had polluted

their father

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯām,

Therefore also

[that were] good

and judgments

ū·miš·pā·ṭîm,

וּמִ֨שְׁפָּטִ֔ים

And I polluted

wā·’ă·ṭam·mê

in their own gifts

bə·mat·tə·nō·w·ṯām,

בְּמַתְּנוֹתָ֔ם

bə·ha·‘ă·ḇîr

בְּהַעֲבִ֖יר

[the fire] that opens

to the end that

I might make them desolate

to the end that

they might know

wə·’ā·mar·tā

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

have blasphemed

your fathers

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem,

אֲב֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם

bə·ma·‘ă·lām

in that they have committed

[For] When I had brought them

wā·’ă·ḇî·’êm

[for] I lifted up

then they saw

and they offered

way·yiz·bə·ḥū-

וַיִּזְבְּחוּ־

their sacrifices

and they presented

way·yit·tə·nū-

וַיִּתְּנוּ־

the provocation

of their offering

qā·rə·bā·nām,

also they made

way·yā·śî·mū

וַיָּשִׂ֣ימוּ

nî·ḥō·w·ḥê·hem,

נִיח֣וֹחֵיהֶ֔ם

and poured out

way·yas·sî·ḵū

וַיַּסִּ֥יכוּ

their drink offerings

נִסְכֵּיהֶֽם׃

[is] the high place

And thereof is called

way·yiq·qā·rê

וַיִּקָּרֵ֤א

after the manner

hab·bə·ḏe·reḵ

הַבְּדֶ֥רֶךְ

of your fathers

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem

אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

their abominations

šiq·qū·ṣê·hem

שִׁקּוּצֵיהֶ֖ם

commit you prostitution

For when you offer

mat·tə·nō·ṯê·ḵem

מַתְּנֹֽתֵיכֶ֡ם

bə·ha·‘ă·ḇîr

בְּֽהַעֲבִיר֩

when you make your sons

through the fire

pollute yourselves

נִטְמְאִ֤֨ים

gil·lū·lê·ḵem

גִּלּֽוּלֵיכֶם֙

be inquired of

be inquired of

and which comes

wə·hā·‘ō·lāh

do be at all

as the nations

ḵag·gō·w·yim

as the families

kə·miš·pə·ḥō·wṯ

כְּמִשְׁפְּח֣וֹת

of the countries

hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ,

with a mighty

ū·ḇiz·rō·w·a‘

וּבִזְר֧וֹעַ

with a stretched out

and with fury

And I will bring you out

wə·hō·w·ṣê·ṯî

וְהוֹצֵאתִ֤י

and will gather

wə·qib·baṣ·tî

וְקִבַּצְתִּ֣י

the countries

hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ,

הָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹת

you are scattered

nə·p̄ō·w·ṣō·ṯem

with a mighty

ū·ḇiz·rō·w·a‘

וּבִזְר֣וֹעַ

with a stretched out

and with fury

And I will bring

the wilderness

of the people

and will I plead

wə·niš·paṭ·tî

וְנִשְׁפַּטְתִּ֤י

with you face

נִשְׁפַּ֙טְתִּי֙

your fathers

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem,

אֲב֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם

in the wilderness

בְּמִדְבַּ֖ר

will I plead

And I will cause you to pass

wə·ha·‘ă·ḇar·tî

וְהַעֲבַרְתִּ֥י

and I will bring

into the bond

bə·mā·sō·reṯ

of the covenant

and I will purge out

ū·ḇā·rō·w·ṯî

among you the rebels

ham·mō·rə·ḏîm

הַמֹּרְדִ֤ים

and those who transgress

wə·hap·pō·wō·šə·‘îm

וְהַפּֽוֹשְׁעִים֙

out of the country

where they sojourn

mə·ḡū·rê·hem

מְגֽוּרֵיהֶם֙

against me I will bring them forth

you shall know

וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם

and As for you

גִּלּוּלָיו֙

and hereafter

[also] Listen

do but pollute

ṯə·ḥal·lə·lū-

with your gifts

bə·mat·tə·nō·w·ṯê·ḵem

בְּמַתְּנֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

and with your idols

ū·ḇə·ḡil·lū·lê·ḵem.

וּבְגִלּוּלֵיכֶֽם׃

in the mountain

ya·‘aḇ·ḏu·nî

יַעַבְדֻ֜נִי

of them in the land

will I accept them

will I require

your offerings

tə·rū·mō·ṯê·ḵem,

תְּרוּמֹֽתֵיכֶ֗ם

the firstfruits

of your gifts

maś·’ō·w·ṯê·ḵem

מַשְׂאוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

your holy things

qā·ḏə·šê·ḵem.

קָדְשֵׁיכֶֽם׃

with your sweet

I will accept

when I bring

bə·hō·w·ṣî·’î

בְּהוֹצִיאִ֤י

wə·qib·baṣ·tî

וְקִבַּצְתִּ֣י

the countries

hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ,

הָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹת

you have been scattered

nə·p̄ō·ṣō·ṯem

and I will be consecrated

wə·niq·daš·tî

וְנִקְדַּשְׁתִּ֥י

among you in the sight

hag·gō·w·yim.

וִֽידַעְתֶּם֙

when I shall bring

בַּהֲבִיאִ֥י

[for] I lifted up

to your forefathers

la·’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem.

לַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

and shall you remember

ū·zə·ḵar·tem-

וּזְכַרְתֶּם־

דַּרְכֵיכֶם֙

‘ă·lî·lō·w·ṯê·ḵem,

עֲלִיל֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם

you have been defiled

and you shall loathe yourselves

ū·nə·qō·ṭō·ṯem

וּנְקֹֽטֹתֶם֙

yourselves in your own sight

bip̄·nê·ḵem,

בִּפְנֵיכֶ֔ם

rā·‘ō·w·ṯê·ḵem

רָעוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

you have committed

וִֽידַעְתֶּם֙

when I have worked

ba·‘ă·śō·w·ṯî

בַּעֲשׂוֹתִ֥י

to the end that

of with you for my name

ḵə·ḏar·ḵê·ḵem

כְדַרְכֵיכֶ֨ם

according to your wicked

wə·ḵa·‘ă·lî·lō·w·ṯê·ḵem

וְכַעֲלִילֽוֹתֵיכֶ֤ם

nor according to your corrupt

han·niš·ḥā·ṯō·wṯ

הַנִּשְׁחָתוֹת֙

Moreover the word

[thy word] the south

and prophesy

wə·hin·nā·ḇê

of the south

wə·’ā·mar·tā

וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙

to the forest

of the south

I will kindle

and it shall devour

wə·’ā·ḵə·lāh

do be quenched

and shall be burned

wə·niṣ·rə·ḇū-

וְנִצְרְבוּ־

to the north

ṣā·p̄ō·w·nāh.

And shall see

have kindled

bi·‘ar·tî·hā;

בִּֽעַרְתִּ֑יהָ

do be quenched

do Is he not [just] speaking
